The Villa Arianna stands as one of Tuscany’s most important architectural structures. Located just a few km from the centre of Lucca, surrounded by 10 hectares of parkland and outbuildings stands this impressive Tuscan 17th century residence.
The main villa is characterised by its lateral design and elegant facades to both front and rear; to the front the facade overlooks the gardens and decorative pool and to the rear the facade forms a U-shape around the courtyard gardens. The accommodation is spread over the two principal floors with main staterooms to the central axis leading into the bedrooms in the wings and service rooms and kitchens to the lower floor. In total there are 6 bedrooms and 8 bathrooms.
The main villa is part inhabited so in areas requires modernisation but the regal and ornate features have been maintained in excellent condition such as the cornices and inlaid woodwork.
Gardens and Grounds
The grounds cover a total of 10 hectares and are fully enclosed ensuring the highest possible level of privacy and security. On arrival at the property one enters through an imposing gateway, the drive then winds up through the parkland. Immediately around the villa there are sweeping lawns and wonderful mature trees. Beyond these open park areas one finds woodlands of evergreens and lime trees, which can be explored via the network of original pathways.
Further Accommodation and Outbuildings
Tucked either side of the main villa one finds the estate’s other buildings. The Limonaia has been converted into a residence ideal as a guest house or as staff accommodation.
The original farm buildings provide over 1000 sqm of floor area which could be restored to provide further accommodation, studio spaces or working premises.
Being located just only a few Km from the centre of Lucca one can enjoy the privacy and tranquillity of the countryside whilst also the vibrancy and services of the Province’s capital. The coastal resorts of Viareggio and Forte dei Marmi are also just 30 minutes from the property, as is Pisa airport which is served by flights from principle airports worldwide.
