The historic origins of the property date back to the 1100s. Then during the Renaissance the property was further developed to its current design. The current owners fully restored the property some 20 years ago creating spacious and bright living rooms and design features.
The Main House
One enters the property into the grand hall with spiral staircase to the first floor and reception rooms leading to each wing of the house. The ground floor wraps around the central courtyard with French doors from adjacent rooms providing an ideal space for summer dining. At present the kitchen and breakfast rooms are found on the lower ground floor but should one wish a large kitchen-diner could be created on the ground floor. The lower ground also has extensive cellars which would be ideal as a gym and/or games room.
The first floor has two large bedroom suites, plus a further two ensuite bedrooms, large storage room and access to the tower room on the second floor which is currently used as a study with wonderful views in all directions. This tower room could be converted into another bedroom with ensuite should one wish.
Further Accommodation
Within the grounds of the property there is a small guest house which has both independent access and driveway. The house has a double bedroom, single bedroom, living room, bathroom and kitchenette. The accommodation is ideal for both guests or as rental accommodation.
Garden and Grounds
The grounds around the property are fully fenced and with large hedges. The walled garden immediately around the villa have pristine lawns, mature trees and dining area with summer kitchen. There are also olive groves and an area of land on a raised level which would be ideal for a swimming pool, should one wish.
