The Property

There are three properties within the estate as well as various barns and out-houses. The main house or Casa Padronale which dates back to the 1800s has been completely restored and converted into six apartments, a reception sala and a small wine shop. The apartments all have a kitchen and either one or two bedrooms. The interior design is in keeping with a traditional Tuscan farmhouse with use of cotto floor tiles, wooden roof beams, stone and marble frames and furnishings and many apartments enjoy grand antique fireplaces.

The main farmhouse offers approx. 600 m2 of floorspace over two floors.

The Cantina - Wine Cellars

The second largest building on the estate is the cantina which offers approx. 280 m2 of floorspace. The cantina houses state of the art production facilities and the equipment for the pressing, fermenting in temperature controlled silos, filtering, refining and bottling. There are a further 2 small cellars which have been carved out of the "tufo" rock face below the estate, which is traditionally renowned for being the perfect rock type for underground cellars. Both of these cellars are used for ageing and refining some of the more prestigious labels produced by the estate.

Offices & Other Annexes

The third building measures approx. 120 m2 and is used as offices to manage the wine and tourism businesses.

There is also a 220 m2 garage for the tractors and machinery, a 90 m2 room for olive oil storage, as well as other various barns and stone outhouses.

The Estate & Land

The current ownership have created a good wine business focusing on a relatively small production of a high quality wine. They have obtained the DOCG status authenticating the quality of their Chianti blend and they also produce an excellent Super Tuscan IGT.
